Reviews of Winyard Drive, Mooroolbark
"Great family lifestyle living"
I have lived in Winyard drive for 14 years and one could not find a friendlier neighbourhood. Everyone knows everyone and there is a fantastic community spirit, young and old, looking out for each other. It takes 2 mins to walk around the corner to the shops where you have everything; shops, supermarkets (super for parents who need to run in and grab something quickly for tea:), medical centres, fitness and leisure with parks, a great choice of restaurants, takeaway and convenienience stores- an awesome deli, bakery, chemist, etc-the list goes on! My partner works in the city and so a short walk to the train station is so convenient-there is a cut through to the station from the street (very handy!). Bimbadeen Primary is just up behind Winyard drive, and this has been the best school for my little ones- look no further for a good school. If you are after location and a friendly neighbourhood, Winyard drive is a great choice!
Great for
- In Winyard drive, there are people of all ages and there is a fantastic community spirit-you always feel like someone is looking after your home while you are away.
- People think that living parallel to a railway is bad, we don't even see the train coming through-great location for city workers
- People like to get out in their gardens and maintain them
Not great for
- None, sorry-it was thought that the introduction of speed humps would be an inconvenience but they have slowed the traffic and they are not 'NASTY' speedhumps-very user friendly
