Is Reservoir a good suburb for a young family? Which part of Reservoir is best please?

Hi, I am relatively new in Melbourne and want to know if Reservoir is a good suburb for a young family? It's not far from the CBD and price seems reasonable compared to other suburbs that are within 15kms of the city. What's the reputation of Reservoir like and which part of Reservoir more desired, safer and better please? Looking for good schools, shopping centres, easy access to transport, etc. Many thanks.

Hi, I moved to Reservoir in 2020 and love the place. I am on the side that's near Reservoir Station, north of Broadway and have no issues with the area. I've read some bad reviews on here, but personally I have never experienced any issues. Note that Reservoir is a big suburb and there are good and bad pockets.
My neighbours are very friendly, Reservoir Station has recently been upgraded and there are plenty of schools to choose from. Price around the area has increased exponentially since we bought the place
