Reviews of Wombarra, NSW

"Escape to Nature"

What a wonderful little pocket of beauty, the area is delightful quiet and a little spark of action lights up when the locals attend the Wombarra bowling club with views to the Escarpment and beach it’s a glorious sight and hidden gem if your not a local.

Far enough away and convenient when the city lights are calling when you need a getaway or commute along the scenic rail to the CBD.

"Sun surf, beach pool"

What a beautiful place to live, we stayed here working on a project, in the local area for 5 years and very sad to leave this hidden gem on the coast, with a stroll to some top notch cafes in Coledale and swimming in the ocean pool or taking a bush walk it takes you back to a simpler way of life.
With the NBN working a treat we really are connected to the world and greater community.

With Sydney & access to a huge shopping centre being Miranda only 35 mins drive and Wollongong CBD on your doorstep.
Can’t wait to come back !

"The secret is out Wombarra: Sydney siders have realised there is an end to the rat race with Majestic views and the beach lifestyle on your door step with a caring community."

Walk around Wombarra and youll see a quick snapshot of the locals who make up the area. Young twenty beach stylers with there own swing on fashion and the sophisticated older generation whom know the history of this unique paradise with sustainable cafe’s a stones throw away with a flat white or 2 rolling out the door, ready to hit the surf jog or a run along the scenic coast, you really could be anywhere in the world in this environmental haven untouched from major development homeowners are between 35 and 55, often professionals working from their home office and also commuting to the CBD white-collar industries and a mix of tradies with style. Beaches parklands, the kids will never want to leave as this feels like an idyllic holiday destination where you can live and be 1 hours drive to sydney CBD.

Dont be fooled by the quiet streets, the charming Anitas Theartre in thirroul and the laidback lifestyle: this is a place where hard working professionals cool there heals at some fantastic watering holes being Scarborough pub, Headlands, & Resin in Bulli.

And only a short drive to the beautiful south coast beaches in Shellharbour, the famous Hymes beach along the way you could visit Quaint towns like Berry which are booming.

"Bush Beach & Cafe’s"

A tucked away bush paradise which is extremely safe suburb in the Illawarra, placed only a stones throw from Coledale, Scarborough & Thirroul.

With a local train station for easy access to the sydney CBD, a short stroll to the beach and a close nit community who support their neighbours.
