I agree with the other comments it is a very small inbred town. The school was below standard. People get all in everyone elses business and treat new people badly. The fire alarm is as stated deafening and seems to ring alot especially in the early hours of the morning.
There is nothing to do and no normal people to bother to do it with. We made it 3 months before this town drove us so batty we broke the lease and we moved. No work unless you like farming.

small place of arond 200 people...no shops or services, nothing to do. very insular if you aren,t from there noone cares. new residents are ignored. very clicky. went there to visit mates, only good thing about it is the pub. only friendly spot you,ll find. mates i visited since moved. Town was isolated, unwelcoming
Local firies let off an airaid siren 24/7. Give the place a miss your ears will thank you. No peace just airaid siren.

Has a poplation of 320 people..is about 10 km out of swan hill. Woorinen South was originally a soldier settlement..it is full of pre war and war houses. It has a kindergarden, preschool and primary school. It also has a pub, and corner store post office and a firestation. It also has a recreation area which has a skatepark, cricket pitch, barbecue area play area and football club. Swan hill has an extensive township for shopping and activities boasting 10000 people. Woorinen is very laid back and exclusive. The people are friendly and helpful and the community is improvement focused...Woorinen south also holds an annual tractor pull. Would recommend it as a wonderful, wholesome ,safe and traditional place to live in and raise a family.
