There are sporting clubs around, I run martial arts classes (Empty Hands Martial Arts) for kids (and adults :) at several locations in Golden Grove, including Golden Grove Recreation Centre (Tuesdays 5pm), Pedare Junior campus (Thursdays 4:30pm) and Golden Grove Primary School (Saturdays, 8:30am). Classes run through the school terms, and you can try out for free.

Depending on what sport you play there are plenty of good sporting clubs in the area. I myself played footy for Golden Grove football club which has a great junior program.
