Reviews of Gorokan Road, Wyee

"Great place for"

This part of Wyee is the start of a new Residenial zone, There is currently 200 blocks of land in the process of being rezoned to residential. Its been approved of Sept 2010 for the rezoning and dwellings to be approved. its time to get in and Buy up your blocks now for futire investment or cheap living.
You can currently purchase blocks of land 600sq metres to almost 1000sq metres for approx 50-80k's .
Once the re-zoning has happened you will not find another affordable block, blocks on the opposite side of Wyee train station are standard blocks selling for 220k's.
Affordable living and affordable prices to get into the Property market. There has been afew old Men living in the area buying and selling blocks of land for the past 25yrs. He is waiting for the boom. Poor guy the boom is about to happen and he days are almost up.
There is some really nice dwellings that were previous on blocks out here that have been renovated and done up with all the mod cons. You will be amazed at what some residents have done to tidy up this part of wyee.
It only took one particular person to buy a block on Gorokan Road and renovate the existing dwelling to bring it upto todays modern looking house, many others have followed suit. Now people are taking noticed of this part.
The fact that the train station is only 1-800 metres walk away from these blocks it makes it a great way of commuting to Gosford or Newcastle which is about 30-40mins either way, or even to Sydney which is about 1hr and 20mins to Central. Alot of people in Sydney spend longer hrs travelling to and from work on the surburban trains,

Wyee what a country town that is the next Boom area it sits right of the cuffs on the nsw central coast, infact some class it as the Central coast and one side of the road is own by lake macquaire council the other Wyong shire council. There is plans for future Shopping centres, sporting facilities, and an 800 house lot estate to be built on Hue hue Road, plus the 200 blocks on the dirt road side of wyee train station.
15yrs ago these blocks were selling for 2-5 thousand each and now, they are fetching 130+ k's with a fully fence yard and a dodgy caravan with acouple rooms extended from it with full power ,phone, internet and inground septic system.

check out acouple house on Gorokan road and also in Pirama Road they have done wonders and have started a whole new outlook to what wyee can become.

Great for

  • The Train line runs along this road and station in on this road

Not great for

  • Currently dirt and very corrogated often needs council to grate it.

We were told that land holders ONLY in this undeveloped area of Wyee (urban blocks) would have to pay a substantial amount (70K+) per block when it is rezoned. This was a while ago so you may want to do your own research.
