Is Hemmant a flood prone area?

Parts of Hemmant are under the Council flood line. This imaginary line was put in place after the 1974 floods of Brisbane. The areas that are currently under this line are generally zoned as Rural and hence cannot be further developed. The likeable part of this is that we are fortunate enough to have acreage properties only 10 klm's from Brisbane City. This is a wonderful opportunity for thoise looking for a semi-rural atmosphere but still live close to the city and the bay.
