What is there to do in Karratha for a stay at home mum?

I have lived in Karratha before so know the area but I pretty much worked 247 while there. My partners job has changed from FIFO to a residential placement so our daughter and I are moving back out West. The plan is for me to go back to work but the waiting list is long for daycare so while i'm home i want to make the most of any opportunity I have to make friends and get to know people. Just after advise on any mummies groups or playgroups etc during the day and even things in the evening like netball or yoga that I could go to.
Would also appreciate any info on things to do that are family friendly for my partners days off, or any general tips on the area. My daughter is 13months old. TIA

With the expansion of the suburbs within Karratha their are now a lot of beautiful playgrounds, the Youth Shed housing a childs indoor play centre, the Leisureplex which offers all kinds of sporting with a large creche facility and the water play area in the Leisureplex offers lots of fun in the water for children. The Pam Buchanan centre in Baynton West houses playgroups and other activities as well.
