Reviews of Moubray St, Albert Park
"Close to the beach and the city in a small village atmosphere."
I spent 10 years living in Moubray St south of Victoria Avenue. It is a great spot! With little through traffic, friendly neighbours and it's close to the city, the village & the beach. You can walk everywhere. The number one tram takes about 15 minutes into the city and is regular, clean and friendly - and best of all, you can get a seat more often than not. There are great parks, great shops, cafes, the South Melbourne Market - and the IGA is reasonably priced enough to get most things between shops. Childcare is great if you are able to secure a place at one of the local centres and the local primary school is also very well regarded.
Great for
- Friendly, yet private neighbours
- Beautiful trees and heritage homes
- Quiet
Not great for
- All houses in Albert Park are "small" and Moubray St is no exception.

"Moubray Street has so much to offer"
Moubray Street has great visual appeal, drive down here and you will see what I am talking about. The street is wide, the houses are nice, and varied with trees lining the street.
Location is great for shopping and dining (Victoria Avenue and Birdport Street) and you are very close to the city, St Kilda and Port Melbourne...all amazing suburbs.
The only negative is that you are right on Albert Park Primary School, which is great if you have kids, however the traffic can be a little bad in the mornings and 3:30 in the afternoon.
But, overall I highly recommend Moubray St.
