If looking around the Launceston area, My opinion is that any suburb next to the cbd, such as South Launceston, Invermay, Trevallyn, Elphin and West Launceston. Majority of suburbs in Launceston are generally safe but if the question was asked to the public of a trendy suburb, the chances are that one or some of these suburbs would get a mention.
