would you recommend ocean grove or Clifton springs for young family looking for good safe school?

We want somewhere safe, good reputation for schools and high schools in close proximity. We are coming from central vic looking for a sea change. My husband is a painter so would need to be able to find work easily also

When I lived half way between both, I looked at all schools in the areas and houses and chose Clifton Springs.
I felt that there was more amenities close-by and I’ve lived here 3 years now and Curlewis is a big development now.

For High Schools though - I do believe Bellarine campus (public high school) is split and one campus is in Ocean Grove and one is just outside of Drysdale (years 7-9 and 10-12 but unsure which is which), but there are buses and OG is only 10 minutes if you’d prefer to drive

They’re both nice areas, Clifton Springs is probably a slightly older community, in age, and is slowly developing but it’s stoll got a little country community feel.

Ocean Grove is more a seaside getaway with nicer beaches and more shopping/dining options but that comes with a cost and housing is a minimum 100k more for the equivalent house.
