I am very interested in moving to Petrie, but i am wondering if there are any areas that should be avoided?

Hi, I am hesitant to bag out streets,or parts of a suburb I don't live in as each area has attractions to different people and I would be biased. That being said most suburbs are pretty black and white, if it looks like an area to be avoided it probably is. Avoid being close to the pubs, avoid being too close to the railway etc. My suggestion is to walk up and down the streets, it gives you a good feel for an area. There are planned roads/bypasses in and around Petrie at the moment, so make sure you do your main roads searches if you are planning to buy. When talking to the real estate get them to show you the different parts of Petrie. Petrie village (typically Timber post war homes), the old av Jennings estate, Frenches forest and the newer developments of Petrie on pine and north pine.

Sweeney Reserve, behind the Police Station, is a great place to live. There are views over the river from the apartments
