Which suburb to look for rent between Southbank (Victoria) and a government maternity hospital?

I am moving to Melbourne in July and my wife and kid would be joining me in August. My work location is in Southbank. We are expecting our second kid in January and hence want to rent a place which is near a public hospital which provides maternity care and offers an under 30 minute commute from my work location in Southbank. Any help would really be appreciated!
