Where are safe, family friendly areas on Central Coast?

Hi, We are wanting to move our family to the central coast, but I noticed on locals listing for Springfield that is was marked as "not being good for being safe & Sound"... why is that, is there a high crime rate there? what are the nicest, safe areas on Central Coast?

Certain areas of Springfield have or used to have a large volume of public housing (commission homes) However a few of these have been sold off to integrate the public & private housing community. This is only a small section of Springfield. There are several sections of Springfield/East Gosford that are highly sought after, particularly around the Meadow Road area.
Safe areas on the Central Coast - really comes down to your own interpretation of the neighborhood, school requirements, budget etc. Remember that there is good in bad in every suburb whether they been housing commission or dodgy homeowners/renters, continue your research and look at potential areas for yourself - intuition is generally a good guide.

I've lived in Newcastle St Springfield for 2 years and never experienced any problems. A very quiet at with very little traffic, no noisy neighbours, in fact I haven't even heard a party going on.
