Robart Ct

"How Robart Court got its name."

When the Moreton Downs State School was opened, one of its foundation staff members was Mrs Franki Robart, who taught at the school till her retirement in 2005.
In 2002, her husband, Mr Ed Robart, was appointed as Principal of Moreton Downs State School. He retired in 2004.
The previous Principal was Mr Jim Lazzerini, who, on his retirement at the end of 2001, had a street named in his honour in the immediate locality. This came about as a result of representation by the school to the local Councillor, Mr Kris Whiting.
When Mr Robart retired, Mr Whiting was present at his retirement ceremony at the schooland he gave an undertaking to name a street in the locality after Mr Robart ( and , of course, his wife).
And so, Robart Court, in the new Industrial Estate off Boundary Road, got its name.
Coincidentally, the land on which the estate has been constructed, previously belonged to the Buchanan family. Mr Robart's sister, Edith, is married to Paul Buchanan, a relative of the previous owner.
