Having lived in the Adelaide Hills for 30 years and travelled extensively in Australia and Overseas one can only say Bridgewater is "A piece of Heaven". The view over the surrounding hills to Mt. Lofty is spectacular, the native vegetation which envelopes the area is pure Australian rich with breathtaking native flora and fauna. Breathe the Eucalypts and fresh air and join the people walking or jogging around this paradise and you will find it hard to believe that it is only 15 minutes form the City of Adelaide Business Centre.
Close to Historic Local Pubs, a plethora of gourmet restaurants, quaint historic villages surround with modern Boutiques to satisfy the discerning resident. Sports Ovals, clubs and excellent schools abound with choices.
Much of the terrain in Bridgewater is undulating so probably not a plus for seniors however this very terrain gives us those most spectacular views. In Bridgewater we truly have that feel of the lush green of Britain or Canada but with the Australian Bush environment and weather.
