Cashmere

"Cashmere - Greenwoods side"

Two sides to Cashmere, the part around Greenwoods and the more Warner side. I only really have experience around the greenwoods side. It is certainly quiet and peaceful if you live in a cul de sac. Very neighbourly and a lovely place to live. However the cons of being basically remote from schools, shops, decent eateries and the drive into the city made us change our mides. Saying that, this is just us. While we lived there, we loved it but the time to get to anywhere was a painful. Since moving closer to the city we keep appreciating to the time we save and the options we have. I would rate the Greenwoods part as a great place to live and depending on your requirements an overly lovely place. Would recommend to anyone prepared to travel.

Keperra

"Nice Place with a bright future..."

Keperra is a bit of a secret, good area to live in and I would expect good capital gains over the next few years with the urban sprawl.
Convenient to all things and is more for the growing family that does the Saturday sports and schooling type of activity. Not good for Nightlife but plenty of clubs and pubs within a short distance. Only issue is the quarry with it still being there due to GFC but will eventually go and there will be plenty of capital works involved so will help grow the median value of the area.
Affodable housing with still some good sized blocks with good foundations going for around 400k on the western side of samford road and nice houses on 700sqm on the kings estate which is conveniently located to access the city from Samford or Waterworks Road.
This is one area that is under valued due to the estates surrounding it being overpriced or people wanting more modern dwellings on much smaller blocks. Everything will in time be renovated and convenience will repay those that decide to call Keperra home.

Great for

  • Convenient basic shopping
  • Green and leafy
  • Quiet and safe

Not great for

  • Peak hour traffic on Samford Road

A sensible commentator, the two reviews you have done are good but you should write more for us.

blahdeeblah

Fellow bias judgemental comment with no depth or proper explanation of the area as a whole. People should just drive there and check it all out themselves, especially peak hour, and orices are still coming down, renting is a much more affordable option, our financial advisor said investing here was a bad decision for us based on the expense to the rent return, people who rented here for the last 3 years are better off not only by what thye saved but by not losing money on the houses, check out the recent sold proces compared to a few years ago. Serious losses out this way.

If it has the losses you keep talking about then it would be a good time to buy I would assume. Either was your mis-informed and always say you get attacked for your comments.Facts and opinions are different things with a shade of reality in between. Please dont reply with an comments about, north korea, nazism and how people who respond to you are biased and all the other ridiculous stuff you come up with. Again you can have the last say on this.

It appears as though Bunnings have resubmitted their DA to build at Keperra with speciality shops, sport and rec, restaurant and a vet. Unfortunately no cinema at this time but will still be good for house prices. The Train Station is now completed, the dual tracks in place, increased timetable to every 15 mins outside of peak. The new tavern is almost finished and the land on the old quarry is up for sale.Wardell Street upgrade underway, Kedron Brook Road completed. The future is looking bright for Keperra and surrounding suburbs with all these capital works and private investment.
