Berala

"A small family friendly suburb, with all your basic amenities."

I live on york street, which is 5-10 minutes walk to the Berala town centre, where there is a Woolies, Gloria jeans, some other shops and train station. It is about 40 minutes by train to city, and people that live here are hardworking families of migrant backgrounds which are proud of their homes.
Ive lived here for a few years and have never had a negative experience living here. The thing is in Berala, besides a casual chat when I bypass a dog owner, everyone minds their own business here.
There is a dog park as well, which is important for the dog owner and they also have their own Facebook page!
The gourmet noodle house, the kebab house and pho four seasons are very good restaurants that are so affordable!

Love the noodle house! Hope to have a Korean restaurant soon! ;)
Train has speeded up, now only 30mins via Lidcombe.

Oatley

"Even their train station is fabulously landscaped..."

When you drive down Oatley, it’s gorgeous. Well manicured lawns, an amazing kids park but you know it is an exclusive family friendly suburb when you have a Facebook Neighbourhood watch, parents and community page. Oatley residents seem to really love their burb, do their best to keep it beautiful and look out for the neighbours. Only negative thing I have heard is that people tend to nosey around here! Lol
