We are looking at buying in Westmeadows, but want to know how it is being so close to the Airport?

The noise will not affect your everyday life. I had a business there for years, never noticed the noise.
I wouldn't let that bother you in making a choice to live in Westmeadows.

There is no noise issues for Westmeadows being close to the airport. Being close is very convenient e.g; getting to the airport, not as much traffic as people coming from further suburbs, taxi fares etc...

Hi, Iived there for 10 years on Mickleham Road just next to the Football oval and didnt hear anything. Westmeadows is a lovely pocket - the best areas are:
The Mickeleham Road side of airport and the area surrounding the IGA and small shops.

To be honest, I thought it would be very loud before purchasing. I hardly hear the planes, and have never been able to point out a loud event and I have been there since June last year.. I think the flight path isn't directly over my house or the surrounding streets. I am originally from Oak Park, and I would say that it is as minimal as Essendon Fields. 

Nothing to worry about :)
