A 2 bedroom rental in the Castro District, San Francisco can vary a lot, but it is a high demand area. Right now, looking at whats out there, you can find a 2-bedroom for around $3000/mo up near Duboce Triangle--which is a really active spot.
Deeper in the Castro it is even more expensive: $4000 to $5000 per month. (To save money, it might be easier to head east to the Mission just to the east. It has a bit more crime but might be worth it for the savings.)
