Reviews of East Street, Mount Hawthorn

"East St, Mt Hawthorn - It's the best!"

Great family friendly Street. We have lived here for 13 years & wouldn't move!
There's lots of other families in our street now & our kids have made lots of friends & so have we! Our neighbors are the best! We thought about moving to a bigger house when we had our first baby 7 years ago but loved our neighbors so much we ended up extending our house instead.
We have Mt Hawthorn Primary & also Aranmore CPS (where our kids go) within walking & riding distance & also Aranmore Catholic College. Its also walking distance to the local shops/cafe's & restaurants & a quick bus ride to the City or to Innaloo S/C. You could also bus it to Scarborough beach from here!
There's Menzies Park at the end of our street & Braithwaite Park just a short walk away. We are always hanging out at either park with our friends from the area & also enjoy a ride on our bikes to Lake Monger.

"Great place to buy into, a good investment and a good place to live"

East Street is close to all necessary facilities and close to the freeway, although far enough away not to be noisy. It is opposite a great park and this park is used extensively by people walking their dogs and for playing sports. The street is very close to buses and shops and the Mount Hawthorn Shopping Centre is close by. There are good retail outlets for food and specialty shops for gifts, bread and other items. The area has an ethnic base because there were a lot of Italian and Greek people who settled into the area as migrants when it began and now there are a lot of newcomers moving in as the elderly people vacate their homes due to old age or ill health. East Street is fairly quiet and living across from Menzies Park is a bonus. It is a good street in whcih to raise a family.
