Where is the closest beach to Marsden where you can go swimming?

I third the Gold Coast, can't beat the beaches here!

I would be heading down to the Gold Coast hit the Logan motorway then the M1 would take you less then 30 minutes.

Moreton bay, Wynumn area is the closest to Marsden. But sandy beaches with surf would be Southport & Surfers Paradise directly down the M1 ( Pacific Motorway).
