Reviews of Cheryl Crescent, Newport
"Cheryl Crescent - It's All About The View!"
Cheryl Cr, Newport is located off Wallumatta Road and winds it's way up to Bilgola Plateau. Sections of Cheryl Crescent are steep however the pay off is the magnificent views that are on offer.
There is a small pocked of properties just past Belinda Crescent that have spectacular views over Newport Beach, however the majority of properties have views over Pittwater. Parking can be limited so when searching for a property it is best to short list those with a double lock up garage or multiple off street car parking spaces.
It is also important to consider the ongoing maintenance requirements of the individual blocks as some are steeper or have more vegetation than others.
Cheryl Cr is ideal for families with teenage children who love the ocean/Pittwater views but don't necessarily need a large backyard.

"It might have good views BUT ......"
I lived here for 16 years up until 4 years ago and couldn't wait to get out.
Freezing cold in winter - most houses face south.
Very exposed to southerlies - a tree fell on our house and I had to have stitches at Mona Vale hospital on the middle of the night as a result
Steep winding road with lots of dangerous fast traffic - 2 cars crashed into our front yard
Nowhere to park - double lines on a narrow road. Lots of parking tickets issued and people would often park in my parking space on my property
We were burgled badly and lots of neighbours were burgled too.
Steep blocks of land subject to landslip - rocks collapsed above my house after heavy rain
Lots of funnelwebs
You have to drive to get to any shops etc
"King of the hill.."
Cheryl Crescent is the highest point of Newport, as you approach Bilgola Plateau.
This privileged position grants you a Bird's Eye view over Newport. The views are ever-changing from every vantage point; some enjoy sunrises over Newport Beach, others have limitless views up the coast towards Cerretti Chapel, Manly.. and most take pleasure in an evening panorama of twinkling lights across Newport valley and the most beautiful crimson sunsets bordering the hills of Ku-Ring-Gai National Park.
Current and past homeowners in Cheryl Crescent comment that they love the feeling on sitting on-top of the world, the privacy, beautiful sunsets and of course the stunning water views.
Homes range from modest pole-home type dwellings in around the $800,000 price bracket, through to commanding multi-storey brick homes "entertainer's delights".. ranging right up to the high $1millions.
