"Great streets with all the bells and Whistles"

Peel street is one of the best Streets in Newport and Williamstown.
The streets is lined with beautiful Gum Tress right through as well as great room on either side of the road. From with in the street you will find Great Melbourne views and a short stole from the infamous "the Strand" strip and also the great Life Styles Gym.

Whether you need a Bus or Train, you will find both within a short walk depending on where you need to go or you can drive anywhere in Victoria with having close access to the Westgate Freeway, Western Ring road and the Princess Highway, getting away with the kids for the weekend is simple.

This great lifestyle and beautiful scenery comes at a price though. Prices range from around 600,000 to the low Millions.

RuRoh Nice review FallOut. How long have you been living in the area for?

Byrnecore My whole life.
Don't get me wrong, the surrounding streets in the area have much the same qualities as Peel, though Peel has those little added extras that just make it a stand out in its location.

RuRoh Fallout, is that a trainstation past the west end of your street? If so, do you hear much of the commotion from there? i'm guessing not with 5/5 peace and quiet rating you gave.. but I'm just double curious... :)

Byrnecore Ruroh, Yes it is.

Although on the map it looks like there is a massive train station that would generate alot of noise and what not, but the majority of what you see is actually the old Newport Train Workshops from way back when they used to service and repair alot of the old steam engines and what not. There is still some, but little activity in those workshops.

Newport train station is still there however, but only outputs minimal noise. I can only speak from where i live, which is fairly close to the right hand side of the street via the map. I can only hear minimal amounts of noise from the trains and that is only when a nice wind is blowing down my way and VERY still nights when car traffic is low. I would imagine that the noise level would be marginally louder, but i can't speak for them.

hope that answered your question.

RuRoh Sure did mate :) thanks heaps. You've swayed me to have a serious look into newport as an option to move to -- as i'm currently trying to upsize with a 2nd kid on the way.

Byrnecore Just to let you all know. Prices have certainly gone up since my review. You would it pretty difficult to find a house in the street for under 1mil in any good condition. Prices along the strand have gone up to as far as 3..6mil. Who would have thought that this suburb was in the low tens of thousands 30 years ago. How's that for growth.

RuRoh Cragio, why would I want to live in Peel Street? If it's the best spot in the world, can you elaborate a bit more? Why are the neighbours really good? Do they all do things together?

mrated Some people prefer their stinking neighbours to keep to themselves. :)

Looks like this street is in the top 5 in Australia!

RuRoh I'll wait until i see some photo's or movies before i paste judgement :) I'm a bit skeptical of 2 line reviews *blush*.

Byrnecore I think what Peel is trying to say is that the street is forever quiet. The street is somewhat away from any of the main attractions of Williamstown and newport apart from the strand it self. So the only traffic one gets in the street is usually that of the residents and their visitors.

I'll do some digging and see if there are any photos of the street other than street view. :)

Hope this helps.
