Reviews of Sydney Street, New Farm
"New Farm Park"
Sydney St. has cafes and shops as well as New Farm Park running opposite. 2-3 minutes walk to the river and ferry pier.
"Sydney street is full of charm!"
Sydney St is long and runs along New Farm park where on the weekend you will see people walking the dog, having picnics, playing footsal or soccer or just enjoy time with the kids and going to the playground.
Close to the River, ferries, buses, restaurants, shopping and cafes in Merthyr St. as well as oodles of great options for dinner, lunch, brekky our just a coffee along Brunswick st.
I know Glenn Gracie is selling a charming little cottage in Sydney st. at the moment...just wish i had to funds, may be a great pick up for someone!

"The Merthyr end is getting better!"
The Merthyr end of Sydney Street is poinciana lined boulivarde of mainly houses (with some exceptional ones at that). As renovation continues and the "humpabouts" are installed (to deter the drag racers between Brunswick and Moray Streets) this end of Sydney Street is now a haven for young families. In our section there are about a dozen under-school aged children and parents who look out for each other. It shouldn't be long for the last of the eye-sore boarding house/ flats to be returned to original house status. Access to parks and river are excellent. This is urban suburban living at its best!
