unfortunately due to the amount of security needed, plus the risk of druggies etc, pharmacies don't open 24 hours. Try using http://www.whatsopen.com.au
On my trips to Adeliade I've struggled to find anything open late at night! It's worse than Perth and nothing like Melbourne, where late night people are well catered for.
There's another 7am-Midnight chemist on Jetty Rd, Glenelg. I normally go to this one as the one in the City is in a pretty dodgy part (next to Maccas West Terrace, which can be pretty hairy sometimes).
I guess if I need my medication at 3am and I forgot to fill my prescription the day before, I'm SOL.
Midnight Pharmacy has moved.

Modbury DayNite Pharmacy in Modbury. Open 365 days including public holidays. Thank goodness!
BobHarwood asks what times does this operate?please!
There should be a 24 hour pharmacy somewhere. I would think so at least. I'm prone to kidney stones. If I were to get one overnight and I wasn't able to get my pain killer prescription I would not be a very happy camper. I hope you can find something.

Adelaide is the worst city in Australia, nothing stays open to cater for people I Regards to healthcare we have 5 kids between the ages of. 11 months and 12 years and when flu hits or there is something viral going around you can’t always plan for it. Home Doctors don’t carry everything, we needed zirtac for our 11 month old . He was too sick and feverish to take out so we booked the home doctor and by the time he got to us at 12:45 there was nothing we could do. There should be a 24 hour pharmacy set up at hospitals across Adelaide but like everything else in this state , we are 30 minutes and 10 years behind the rest of the country... wished we’d stayed in Melbourne where this type of drama never happens...
This is a useful subject to discuss. I agree that we are not well catered for with 24 and even 12 hour opening pharmacies.
I live down at Victor Harbor on the south coast where things are even worse. There is one pharmacy in Victor Harbor Central That is open until 6 pm five days a week but closes at 4 pm on Sunday. The rest of the pharmacies on the south coast to the best of my knowledge don’t even open over the weekend possibly a few on Saturday morning.
I know the pharmacy on Bridge Road Para Hills very well as I used to live very close. That was certainly very useful with it and I use it a lot
Yes Adelaide is is very behind the times. Tonight I find myself looking for a 24 hour pharmacy because I can’t breath and need medication to loosen thick mucus. I literally feel like I’m about to choke, something is dreadfully wrong! I have so much mucus and it’s thick and blocking my throat. I have a vaporiser going, drinking hot Peppermint tea, have gargled with warm salty water and sucked on numerous lozenges. Nothing seems to be helping. I have read that there is a medication you can take to loosen mucus and I need it right now but no pharmacy open. I’m tempted to call an ambulance. I’m so tired and just want to go to sleep but fear I may choke.
I am so over Adelaide and how everything closes. I went to a cafe the other day read on 1pm and wanted to buy some lunch and was told the kitchen closes at 1pm and they can’t afford to keep it open longer than that, How rediculous!! And if you want a coffee at 3pm there is nothing open and most cafes have shut for the day.... I am for ever being told ... oh we just turned the coffee machine off so we can clean it. Time to get with it Adelaide!
@melk7 , I don't agree with you. Adelaide certainly is a beautiful city for sure. But people are getting illness no matter what time it is or where you are, including people living in Adelaide. 24 hour chemist certainly is very useful. I am still a bit surprised that there is even no single one 24h chemist in the whole Adelaide.
I can confirm on 27/01/24 @ 8.30pm that the chemist below was open!! so happy!
