Premier Agent Masterclass, Chapter 1: Getting started

The Homely Team
3 min read

Meet Angela Agent. Angela has been servicing Seaforth and surrounding regions as a licensed agent for the past six years and has recently signed up to Homely Premier Agent™.

Angela became a Premier Agent so she can connect with an untapped and expanding audience of home buyers, sellers and renters on Australia’s fastest growing real estate portal, homely.com.au.

As Angela is a savvy business women she wants to make the most of her investment in Premier Agent. Here are the first three things she did after signing up to position herself as the go-to agent in Seaforth.

Step 1: Angela completed the ‘About You’ section.

Angela knows that the more information she shares the better positioned she’ll be to win more business over her competitors. So, she put as much relevant information in the ‘About You’ section as possible to highlight her experience and strengths in servicing clients.

What to include in your ‘About You’:

  • Your history in the real estate industry.

  • Service suburbs.

  • Specialty areas.

  • What you offer clients. Are you fluent in several languages? Do you specialise in selling to a particular customer segment?

Angela also added a video to showcase her warm personality, customer centric selling style and her areas of expertise such as selling off the plan homes.

Step 2: Angela wrote a suburb review for Seaforth.

Angela made sure to capitalise on being a lifelong Seaforth residence by showcasing her extensive knowledge of the area in her suburb review. Angela shared that her neighbourhood is most suited to families, professionals, beach lovers and retirees because of the peaceful and great community spirit of the area. To let her personality shine Angela also shared her favourite local park and café where she likes to walk her dog Mimi and savour a flat white over the newspaper on Sunday mornings.

How to write a suburb review:

Visit the Suburb Reviews page, search for your location and click ‘Write Review’. Some topics you can include are: who the neighbourhood is best suited to, what schools are in the area, why people would love living there, and where your favourite restaurants, cafes and shops are.

Step 3: Angela added links to her professional social networking accounts.

Last of all, Angela was sure to add in the links to her professional Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts. By having all her points of contact in one central location, she can easily build up her personal brand, ensure her clients can easily connect and stay in touch, and grow her followers.

Angela is active on her social media accounts, sharing interesting property market knowledge with her audience as well as tips and advice for home buyers and sellers on her monthly blog. This shows existing and potential clients that Angela lives and breathes real estate, that she’s switched on to industry trends, and that she is eager to assist people in their real estate ventures.

You can add in the links to your social networks under ‘Setttings’ and ‘Social’.
