Can you see kangaroos and koalas in Bickley?

We're looking to move to Bickley from the cold and wet UK, and want to know what to expect. Also how long does it take to ride a bicycle to the beach?

You can see koalas quite often but there are not many kangaroos (or simply 'roos', as they're usually called, except when being eaten in which case 'kanga', as in the fMous 'kanga sanga').
The beach is downhill all the way so no trouble rising there.
