"Join the Facebook Community Group"

I've lived in BH for 2 years and can say it's the worst suburb I've lived in. There are hoons that drift constantly daily. There are car jackings that occur. A friend once stayed and left their car on the street to find that their tyre had been pierced. People also do not recommend the schooling in the area.

I'd recommend joining the community group on Facebook to read more on this area yourself.

Looking for a home in Boronia Heights?

"Pleasant surprise"

Moved here during the pandemic in 2020 and simply because it was affordable. We liked the houses and the highways gave us confidence we could feel free and mobile. We haven’t been disappointed and we’ve actually started to think of our house now as our home. It’s been entertaining meeting new neighbours around on bush walks etc who have fled the major cities. It’s made for some lovely friendships and our kids have benefited. We love the local Indian restaurant and it’s our favourite Indian place in all of SEQ. Would highly recommend Boronia Heights to people who want to start a family, love the outdoors and enjoy the simple life.

"Peaceful and charming"

We moved to BH in 2016 and have not considered leaving since. We feel very safe and at home. We love the location as my hubby works in the Gold Coast and I work in Brisbane. Our children go to Boronia Heights state school (but will likely go to a private high school) and it’s one of the best state schools in Brisbane from what we’ve heard. Our child’s teacher is really supportive.
The bush reserves are great jogging avenues and you just feel apart of nature yet so close to all the city amenities. Our family is growing and we are delighted to call Boronia Heights home.

"My fav suburb in QLD"

Lived all over QLD. Townsville… Moreton Bay.. Brisbane CBD. Hands down most enjoyed my time in Boronia Heights. It’s not too far from the Brisbane CBD but it’s close to the fast growing Logan CBD. I like how it’s near the central amenities but not too near to the train stations etc. If you need the train it’s a drive and park arrangement. But if you commute via car it’s perfect access to Gold Coast, Ipswich and Brisbane. Lovely houses mix of old and new but lots of chill people. Surprisingly it’s not that known outside of Brisbane but it’s a peaceful suburb with lots to offer particularly for younger and middle aged families. Think it’s changed a lot over the years from what my neighbours have said. Happy to be a resident of this area!

"Becoming one of the charming corners of Brisbane/Logan"

This suburb is a gem for young families. Houses are still quite cheap at the time of writing this (Sept 2021) and the schools are pretty good. Most important is the natural setting of the suburb.. right next to a beautiful bush land area! There’s lots of beautiful sunsets as well as it’s set higher than most suburbs (not flood prone either). The people here are very relaxed and friendly. So glad we discovered this suburb and made the move from the stress of Sydney.

We send our primary aged kids to Boronia Heights state school but weve heard great things about St Philomena school - it is a private school located across the way in Park Ridge which isnt far

"Convenient, friendly and leafy suburb with affordable housing for First home buyers"

I have been working in this area and I have been overwhelmed with the community spirit of this place and the fantastic options the suburb provides. There is absolutely everything here- great schools, Shopping centre, beautiful parks, access to highway to Ipswich & Logan CBD plus the ease of access to everything not to mention being only 35 min drive to the Brisbane CBD. There are beautiful character and modern homes here and sprawling parks with established trees- I found it to be one of the best affordable suburb this close to Brisbane to meet that criteria.
The suburb is full of young home owners who are renovating and revitalising this suburb and many of buyers couldn't be happier to have got in to the property market here. It is getting busier every year but is filling with young new families who take pride in their suburb.

"Moved to Boronia Heights early of 2010"

Family amd I were looking for somewhere that was affordable and close to everything. We enrolled our kids in the local school which I found were very friendly and supportive. Took awhile to meet the neighbours as nowadays everyones so busy and all but I found them quiet friendly and helpful in helping us settle in. We are only renting until we save to purchase however we have agreed that this suburb ticks all the boxes and we will be buying in this area. What I like is that the shopping centre isn't that far away and public transport is easy to access. It's not that far to the City but I tend to stick around to where we live because everything that we need is within reach. I recomend Boronia Heights to anyone that wants to live were there is good people, good schools and have access to all your shopping needs. 10 out of 10 for us : )

Great for

  • Quiet neighbourhood
  • Schools are within reach
  • Public transport easy

Not great for

  • No bay breezes

"Family Friendly Suburb"

Boronia Heights is ideally located within a few minutes of Grand Plaza Shopping Centre. With plenty of shops of its own and with a healthy public transport system, this is an attractive, leafy quiet suburb with lots of schools and childcare facilities as well as parks. The median price of this suburb is very affordable. It has a good mixture of established and new homes. Check it out :)
