Are there any kid friendly bike trails in Boulder?

My youngest kids don't have 'real' bikes yet, still the Barbie and Spiderman type which are more geared for flat roads and neighborhood kind of rides. I'd love to take them riding somewhere a little prettier before it gets cold. Any suggestions? They are both probably good for 5-6 miles, but not much more.

Avoid the main section of the Boulder Creek Path that runs through town during rush hour, as it has some serious bike commuters on it, but at other times of the day it can be very pleasant, and lead to great places (I know I've posted about the Boulder Public Library before, but it's totally accessible by bike from the Boulder Creek Path). Goose Creek Greenway Trail is pretty mellow and uncrowded, but can also be more exposed and hot so be sure to bring water!

The entire city of Boulder is full of kid friendly bike trails. Most of them tunnel under the streets so you don't have to worry about traffic. I have personally enjoyed riding in the areas around the Valmont Bike Park. Some of the trails go over open space/natural areas so it's a nice escape within the city limits of Boulder.
