I want to get just Internet service in Boulder and avoid Comcast...alternative companies out there?

Anything local that is not part of the monopolies?

Indra's Net is a neat little Boulder company you should check out, they moved a little further east onto Airport Rd off Valmont but still in Boulder proper. I hear you about wanting to get Internet services from a smaller source

I have read your article about the internet services in boulder you must go on to check the internet services provided by the other company who can provide you more comfortable internet services at good prices

I have used Qwest/CenturyLink for land lines for 30 years and have been happy with their service. RE internet service: for the last decade of so, I have asked for current models of modems, or whatever those "magic" boxes are called, and received the upgraded equipment at no charge.

CenturyLink is the telephone company (formerly Qwest) and they offer DSL which is good, but they are a part of a large monopoly as is Comcast... There is a satellite service that is offered in the mountains, but it's only used by folks who can't get comcast or DSL and the service is far from fast and effected by bad weather.
