Is the Boulder County Fair usually pretty big?

The Boulder County Fair is a good sized event...relatively speaking, of course. This year I will be participating in the parade along with two American Shire Ranches, Mackenzie Shires of Longmont and Tally Ho Shires and Sport Horses of Rifle, CO. American Shires are very flashy draft horses, like Clydesdales but Shires are black and white. We will have many big and beautiful shires hitched to their carts and ready to go. Please come to the parade this Saturday, August 3, 2013.

Aug 2nd through 11th--yeah I agree with Brenda is a "fair" size but compared to Ohio not so much. I think the fair and events up in Cheyenne are bigger. I like the demolition derby which will be Sat Aug 10th at 5pm this year, it is pretty cool to see the cars and trucks bashing into each other. The pro rodeo will be Friday Aug 9th evening
We camped at the fairgrounds last year for the fair and it is sadly not that big in my opinion. I'm from the Midwest where the annual fairs are a huge deal, but the crowds were small when I was there. They have some neat events and more people should check them out!
The horses sound awesome, I think we are going to try to catch the Beer Fest then Demolition Derby--should be a real hick fest:)
