Brighton Recollections 20's - 30's, by Lindsay N. Mace

My grandparents have recently moved from their family home in Champion Street Brighton, where they had lived all their married lives being 67 years. My grandfather grew up in Brighton so had spent the majority of his 91 years there. It is with deep sadness that we lost him only this week 2nd January 2009. He published a magnificent book full of some amazing pictures; Brighton Recollections 20's-30's. It is certainly a fascinating collection of Brighton's rich history that my brother and I will continue to have reprinted and distributed. He was a true Brightonian in every sense of the word, a true gentleman, modest, progressive, well respected. He had a love for the sea and visited the beach every day. He knew his way all over Brighton, even when his eyesight failed him in later life. He is our inspiration, and we will keep his spirit alive in our hearts.
