What is peak hour traffic like living in Brighton to and from the CBD?

Is driving to and from the city hectic during peak hour? Currently living in Port Melbourne so the drive isn't that bad, but moving a few suburbs further away from the cbd I'm sure might add a lot of commute time. Is it bearable?

Hi AdamS, the traffic to the CBD from Brighton isn't so bad but like all commutes you have time it. The smoothest run would be to leave before 8.00am to have a comfortable drive in. The same goes with the commute back home. Leave work at 6.00 will mean you generally have a 30 minute drive home. The traffic gets busy between Elwood and Fitzoy Street and then thins out again. Hope this helps!
