Broadview, SA 5083

Broadview is a nice old area, with the lovely old bungalows now replaced with new courtyards and more larger homes.

It's only 10 mins to the city. But with Public Transport, it probably be 15 mins.

Parking is great here, so it is great when families and friends come visiting you.

It is also peaceful and family friendly.

Traffic is bad on Main North Road with all those cars either heading to North Adelaide or the CBD.

The price tag is quite common here, but it all depends on the house.

I don't know how safe it is, but I just marked 5 stars. You can answer that on my question, if you can find it. I wrote: "Is Broadview a safe area?"

There is a lovely park in the area called Broadview Oval. It very green, but it is excellent for playing a match of footy, soccer, cricket, an much more.

So come over here and have a look at Broadview. Its going to be looking good in the future!

Broadview is undergoing significant changes as a result of older attached dwellings and housing trust homes being sold and demolished to make way for new houses, which will bring with it a renewed suburb feel, and with it the community feel

My house has been in the family since just after the end of World War 2. Built in 1950 the house is still standing and is in good condition. There are still original neighbours from the 1950s in my block of houses. The neighbours are very friendly. There is a change from the old Broadview to a more multicultural Broadview. This is a great thing with the new selection of cultural places to go to eat out or get take away. Traffic can be a problem with the surrounding of Main North Road, Hampstead Road, Regency Road and North East Road. Many of the old war services houses and maisonettes are disappearing and new courtyard homes are popping up in their place. I personally think the are is moving from a large rental area into a family owned area.

We moved to Broadview at the height of the last property boom in 2002. I found the house by chance. Since we moved here, we have been so happy. There is a good sense of neighbourhood here. We all look out for our neighbours. While parties happen from time to time, its really peaceful here and at the end of a busy week at work you know you can retreat to peace and harmony. 20 mins to the beach, 20 mins to the city in peak traffic (10 offpeak). Cinemas and cafes in North Adelaide are closer! Drive a few minutes more to the Adelaide Market on the weekend. Its a leisurely 30 minute walk to Melbourne Street, the zoo or Adelaide Uni or 5 10 min by car. If you like the bus, they run frequently through the area. Cycling is so easy, too. The Norwood Parade and the Prospect precinct is also 10 minutes drive. Any faults? Hmmm - might need some time to think about that! I guess there are still a few houses around that could do with fixing up or demolishing - when it happens, it gets a bit dusty. Most people who re-build are doing so in a sympathetic manner - but those that don't ... Ugghh!

QUIET, ECO FRIENDLY, CLOSE TO CITY, PLENTY LOCAL BUSES, ALL SHOPPING AT NORTHPARK, WALKING DISTANCE

A great inner city location that is still on its way up. The houses in here are beautiful and the streets wide and tree lined. This has long been on my wish list.

There is good public transport service here and it is a short trip into the city.

The prices are continuing to rise in here as more and more people realise the value on offer. Good size blocks and older houses.

There aren't masses of good places to eat or drink in Broadview but Prospect Road isn't far away and neither is the city.

Nightspots are all in the city so the area is a quiet one. For the families with young kids there are parks and playground and a toy library nearby with are worth joining.
