Thoughts on the impact of Linwood quarry on houses around Perry Barr Road?

We are looking at moving to Hallett Cove from Melbourne within the next few months, and I was just wondering what impact the Linwood quarry has on the area, particularly around Perry Barr Road? I have been reading up on Boral, and the new quarry to the East of the site and about moving the entrance from Marino around to the south side/Hallett Cove so am worried about trucks, noise, vibrations and dust. Does anyone who currently lives in the area, or has lived in the area, have any information about this and how it affects/affected them? We don't want to buy a lovely house, move in, then find out that we will be dealing with truck traffic and noise, constant blasts/noise/vibrations and a permanent covering of dust over everything.
