Best Place to Take Mom for Mother's Day

I'll get things started. A couple of years ago, I took mom on one of those Hornblower's Cruises where you go around the SF Bay in a big boat. They serve a bit of food and you get to see the city sky line, Alcatraz, Angel Island--all that. She really enjoyed it.
Probably the best place--and less waiting for tables and all that.
sounds really nice. Moma Flower get's sea sick so that wouldn't really work for me. I haven't really taken Moma Flower anywhere because of limited funds and little girl syndrome, but my brother Stephen took her to SF Opera a few years ago before the recession put a damper on everything and she really liked it.
What is "little girl syndrome"?
"little girl syndrome" is when u feel like u r still 16 when you get around your parental unit
Fwww! I was afraid I might have it.
u probably do but don't know it
b careful. it catches.
The SF Opera does sound really nice. My mother would like that, but its really not in my price range.
i think u can get discounts if u r a student
I am way beyond my student days.
o yeah, i forgot what an old owl u r. mayb the senior discount?
I'm old but not that old. Maybe my mother could get the discount though. She is retired.
maybe u can get the endangered species discount. u wouldn't happen to be a spotted owl?
lol! I think my mom would rather see the kids though. So Opera would definetaly be out.
("lol"--look at u, using the web slang. i'm proud of u. its a big step 4 an owl of your age.)
How many kids do you have?
Five. All under 13.
wow! what r u starting a basketball team?
your wife must be exhausted
She is, but more from going to work than the kids. I'm a "Stay-At-Home-Dad."
wow owl. so u must be exhausted.
that is very cool--the reversed roles n all. its like that 80's movie, Mr. Mom.
But it does change the discussion when it comes to going out, etc. You know extra cost, extra work. Etc.
It's not that unusual any more.
u know what might be a good place 4 u 2 try? Golden Gate Park. With the Exploratorium, the Gardens, the De Young and all that area for the kids to play there would b something 4 everyone.
okay, gotta go
You're right about Golden Gate Park. I've been on outings there plenty of times with the kids. Breat sun and lot's to do. Probably the most family friendly area in the city.
