Camp Hill, QLD 4152

I have lived in Camp Hill for 2 years now. By far the friendliest neighbourhood I have lived in. I have been invited to a street neighbourhood Christmas party, surrounded by friendly neighbours and have enjoyed the great community feel.

There are some great utilities - Camp Hill Marketplace, and there are some great restaurants around - Martha Street. It is close to Westfield Carindale, Coorparoo Square, Oxford St Bulimba, The Gabba.

Camp Hill also has Whites Hill which is a great nature reserve and park for everyone to utilise.

Camp Hill is quite hilly and has some beautiful streets with city views. It has been a joy to see homes updated around the area to enhance it’s character.

There is a reason why it is a very attractive area to buy.

I am very happy and proud to have settled here.

Just happened to be out and called into The Marketplace and found it's had a large renovation. Lots of great little shops and eating place. I found in there an Optometrist who had a wonderful range of different glasses that I hadn't seen before.

I move around a lot for different reasons, and lived in Camp Hill twice, let me tell you the experience differs to street, and this is true to every surburb you see a review on.
A few years back I lived in a complex by the main road, it was noisy, and can't say I liked the spot my townhouse was in it, as it had too many ants. It did have some nice bakeries up there (The coffee shop wasn't there when I was), and the bus stops is excellent, many to choose from to get to Carindale and the city.
Now I live closer to the Camp Hill Market Place. It is good in terms of food places to eat, coffee, right next to a Woolworths!
The bad however, is that there seems to be a lot of noise, given it is by a busy road to the markey place, a lot of places are under construction, and Camp Hill was forced to have NBN, so the internet quality here is poor (Last time I lived in the area, there wasn't really a crappy NBN stopping us.). The bus timetables are dreadful, only come every hour from the Marketplace, then Sundays are the worst too. The house I live in also gets a lot of bugs and such, I don't know if Camp Hill is just a place for them as both houses I lived in, had a lot of that problem.
Camp Hill has a mixture of things really, so I don't want to give it full stars but it's not completely horrible either.

I moved to Camp Hill thinking this was a nice little neighbourhood. Not at all.
This suburb is a construction site! The council approve multiple dwellings. Every second house is being developed. Streets are lined with trucks. Very nioisy.
Loss of character QLDER homes.
Very few parks have tiolets.
Unfriendly neighbourhood.
Over priced.
I would NOT recommend it.

Camp Hill is a lovely family oriented suburb, highly sought after for it's proximity to popular local Schools, Carindale Shopping Centre, and proximity to city, and trendy coffee club lifestyle. Close to public transport, and a lovely leafy suburb, a great mix of elegant Queenslanders and modern homes.

Where to start with this suburb...

I have lived here for most of my life, with the occasional stint in other cities. Camp Hill is one of Brisbane's suburbs I actively encourage new residents to check out. Despite being so close to the city (10-20mins in good traffic), it is an often overlooked suburb hardly causes a blip on people's radar. It's a quiet, leafy suburb popular with young families, retirees, and more recently young professionals. Parts of the suburb have fantastic views and you can easily spot the city and beyond.

The suburb is heavily serviced by public transport, the suburb being a major thoroughfare for buses between The City and transport hubs like Carindale and Cannon Hill. There are plenty of express buses running along Old Cleveland Rd, and additional buses along Stanley Road. The suburb features plenty of street parking should you choose to drive to the bus stops, and the nearby train station at Norman Park is also very handy.

For your shopping needs, there is the Samuel St village which has a Woolworths, Post Office, Bakery and the all important Bottle-o. There is another set of shops along Stanley Rd which features a small supermarket, fruit'n'veg store, butcher and quite possibly one of the best pizza shops in Brisbane. However, if you are willing to take a 5-10min drive, you have access to Queensland's second largest shopping centre at Carindale, another shopping centre at Cannon Hill, an IGA on Old Cleveland Rd, and more retail, restaurants and coffeeshops in Coorparoo and Stones Corner

The suburb encompasses a number of parks, but is also home to the popular Whites Hill Reserve, which features great bushwalking, sports fields, children's play equipment, BBQ facilities and picnic areas. It is also extremely close the Clem Jones Centre for the more sport-oriented people. There are numerous schools nearby - both private and public - catering for all ages of education.

Housing is affordable and recent developments have seen the construction of modern townhouses and apartments, attracting a vibrant and youthful professional crowd. Camp Hill has a mix of modern and post-war housing suited to both young families and retirees alike.

Brisbane's inner south has some great suburbs and this is surely one of them. Camp Hill was named after travellers used to use "Camp Hill" as a stopover on the way to Cleveland. Now Camp Hill mainly attracts families looking for the suburban life and is not short of shopping options with Martha St eating/shopping precinct, White Hill shopping centre, Westfield Carindale. The housing market in this area is highly sought after for its city views, large blocks, quiet settings and the timeless "Queenslander".
Overall a great place to bring up your family and is worth while checking out.

A Great, Nice & Safe Suburb with Lots of Parks, Dining, Public Transport Options & Schooling Options. Being Close Proximity to the CBD, Gabba Cricket Ground & Carindale Shopping Centre, This will also be superb!

Camp Hill is a fantastic suburb with everything you need at your finger tips. With Carindale Shopping Centre just minutes away, trendy coffee shops to be found on Samuel Street, Martha Street and many more I probably haven't even come across, Camp Hill is definately a top suburb for everyone. Also the area is great for families as parks, playgrounds, dog parks are close by also. If you are someone who catches public transport buses run frequently in this area, very convenient!
