Hi again Jocel,
I believe there is currently a modification of the Foot Bridge over the Canning River at Willcock Street (Ferndale). There are also other projects in and around the Canning River areas to help stop the litter and improve the natural habitats for snakes, birds and reptiles.
There is actually a Canning River Eco Centre right on the Canning River - http://www.canning.wa.gov.au/General/welcome-to-the-canning-river-eco-education-centre.html
