"Friendly green neighborhood"

Love living in Carina Heights. We have so many friendly neigbours and are surrounded by so much greenery. Such convenient proximity to both carindale and camp hill marketplace with lots of options. Looking forward to the addition of the new complex coming to the area.

"Quiet"

Currently living in Carina Heights, have been for 3 years, it can be a nice quiet surburb for families. The street I live on is often quiet, although I don't know the neighbors, a lot of them tend to be alright when I do pass on them on the street. I do find the surburb itself a more rich upper sort of streets.
Every Christmas I do a little thing for the street I am on, giving them small gifts at their doorsteps, so far they have enjoyed it and been friendly back, which is why I can say, aleast for my street it isn't so bad.

However, if you cannot drive, it isn't quite ideal, given the bus stops are spread out, and the buses don't come as much as the main street ones do, to a point I use Uber. Closest cafe is about a 20-25 minute walk away. There are a lot of hills, which can be a problem if you are older or have disabilities. If you can drive, then Carindale isn't that far at all, the shopping centre, then there's the Carina shops that includes the doctors.

Yes, there are dogs on the streets that bark, but let's be honest, every street is going to have dogs, and they are part of the family, if you are fine with children yelling all the time, dogs should be fine. The dogs where I am only really do it during the day, you can never really hear them at night.

So if you got a car, money, and such, families are great here, it is quiet and not so bad. Couples should do fine here too.

"All in one suburb"

It's one of the most handy suburb in Brisbane. Close to one of the best Westfield; Carindale shopping center, close to airport and city as well.
Besides that, Carina Heights is still nice, quiet, safe and sound. This suburb is a lovely green and greet for the runner.

"Lively Suburb with Access to Exceptional Lifestyle Precincts and Green Spaces"

I have actively worked in Carina Heights for years and it's impressive to see how far this suburb has come in that time. It represents an exceptional way for young buyers to gain access to the Brisbane property market in a relatively affordable fashion via the many newer townhouse and apartment developments that have popped up in the last five years, while still having great access to boarding blue chip suburbs like Carindale and Camp Hill and the many lifestyle options that both suburbs provide.

Westfield Carindale is a 5 minute drive (or less in many cases), the city is around 20 minutes, and onramps to the Gateway Motorway (and then onwards to the Sunshine or Gold Coasts), is around 5 minutes. Many green spaces dot the suburb as well.

Just a great place.

"Great suburb close to trendy amenities and transport"

I live on Cambridge Street in Carina Heights just off Old Cleveland Road (border lining Camp Hill) .

Carina Heights is a very convenient suburb but heavily populated with townhouses and units. Further towards Creek Road on Winstanley Street you'll find larger blocks (600sqm) post war homes (most need so TLC and other properties nestle on hilltops with large property and views of the city and surrounding area). But despite being a densely populated area, it is a very quite neighbourhood with friendly people (mostly young professionals/couples, retirees and young families).

There is a very trendy Market Place shopping complex which has a Woolies, Doctors, Bakeries, Grill'd, Hanabi Sushi, etc. which was recently upgraded a couple of years ago. Lots of schools near by (Whites Hills State School, Camp Hill Primary, San Sisto College, etc). Whites Hills Reserve is very close by (20mins walking distance or 5 minute drive) and has great dog park that has been recently renovated to accommodate the growing dog ownership in the area.

Transport is easy within walking distances to the main transport hub in Carina Heights plaza which bring you directly into the busway towards the city or to Carindale bus terminal.

M1 is within a 5 min drive which takes you to the airport and or Gold Coast.

Currently lots of townhouses and units being built in the area but these new builds will hopefully be absorbed by the growing population and desire to live close to the city but still affordable for new home owners makes this area a great surburb to invest in or to live in.

"Wide Tree-lined Streets Close to the City"

This suburb is close to the CBD (about 7km) and runs right into the very expensive suburb of Camp Hill. It's a very green established suburb with wide tree-lined streets and lots of parks. Blocks are around 600m/s. Mostly young professional families and older Aussies who've been there since the housing stock was built. Always meeting professional contacts around the area. Money is constantly going into the housing stock, development of boutique shopping precincts, and new busway coming. Bus services are already really good - into the city every couple of minutes at peak times, and use the existing busway (so fast). Also 2 minutes from Westfield Carindale, which has everything. Lots of good schools, day cares, gyms, local supermarkets, walkable coffee shops. Currently less expensive than Camp Hill but will be on a par once the property stock is fully upgraded.

"Awesome location"

This area is fantastic. It is close to the city, close to the numerous bus lines direct to the city, as well as being safe, convenient and family friendly.

Carina heights is between the upper class neighbourhoods of camp hill and carindale, so expect prices to eventually catch up with those two.

"Hmm..."

We have been renting in Carina Heights for the last 6 months & up until recently, haven't had any issues. Just last week, however, our house was broken into & upon discussing the issue with our neighbours, we were most disappointed to be informed that this isn't an uncommon occurance in our street. As with any area, make sure you do your research & find out who your neighbours are before moving in. We also live near a main road & loud hoons like to use our street late at night as a connector. This area is very overrated & the cost of living is very overpriced.
All negatives being put aside, the area is quite convenient - frequent public transport to the city & Westfield Carindale just a short drive away.

"Ticks All the Boxes. Position, Price, Potential"

I've lived in Carina Heights for 15 years. Carina Heights has better amenity than most surrounding suburbs and many parts are still reasonably priced. Schools are close, Public Transport is fantastic and will be even better when the Eastern busway is extended to Carina shops then Carindale shopping Centre. The suburb is generally quiet with a bit of road noise from the major roads (Old Cleveland Rd, Creek Rd, Winstanley St) some aircraft noise but nowhere near as loud as Balmoral, Morningside, Canon Hill.
Clem Jones Sports Centre has a pool, Gymnasium, Bowls Club etc etc, Other attributes include: Carina Leagues Club, Carina Shopping strip on Old Cleveland Rd, Some bikeways though they need to be linked to Bulimba Ck better, Carindale shopping centre and Hotel nearby. Whites Hill bushland reserve walking trails.
There is a mix of housing in different zones, new town houses close to Carina Shops, many post war houses, expensive houses with views on higher land adjoining Whites Hill.
Carina Heights is between the more exclusive suburbs of Carindale to the East and Camp Hill to the West, has better amenity than both and is better priced though this anomally won't last.

"Great Place to Live"

Carina Heights is a great place to raise kids, close to everything... Schools, sports, shopping and Parks.

Carina Heights is a quiet area surrounded with natural bush land with possums and birds to wake up too. We have the best of both worlds only 10minutes drive to Brisbane City, views of trees and walking distance to everything. It’s like living in the country but having everything that the city has within walking distance. What more could you want!
10minutes drive to the city, 20minutes drive to the water, five minutes’ walk to the Westfield’s at Carindale Shopping Centre which has everything you could possibly need.
We have Tafes and Universities only 15minutes away on a bus, less if you drive. I use to live at Bulimba but everything was so over priced but here we have better access to shopping centre and a variety of schools without the overcharging..

"Great place to rent or buy, so close to Westfield Carindale, local clubs, schools, parks and Clem Jones Centre."

Carina Heights is app. 7 ks from the centre of Brisbane, it is an affordable residential suburb, with townhouses from $400,000 and houses from $430,000.With Westfield Carindale just a short walk from the centre of the suburb, you have a total shopping and transport centre.
