Downtown Minneapolis' Mill District Neighborhood...the Guthrie Theatre,The Stone Arch Bridge,St Anthony Falls,The Mill City Museum...the birthplace of Minneapolis!
Depends on the season, but last summer when family came from Maine and Sacramento, we took a dinner cruise in Stillwater. They loved it. We also went to a Twins game and the Mall of America, of course. We may tire of the MOA but out-of-towners really like it. When they come next winter we are going to take them up to Cragun's to go snowmobile riding, ice fishing, and dog sledding. That will really be unforgettable for the Sacramento bunch!
A lot of this depends on your guest and the season but I've included a few idea's here for you to consider. Spoonbridge and Cherry at the Walker Art Center, Twins/Vikings/Wild/Twolves game, any one of the lakes on the chain, Minnehaha Falls, Mill City Museum, any one of our fabulous theaters, if it's the holiday season the Hollidazzle parade or Rice Park and after all that I would recommend grabbing a drink at the Foshay or a wonderful meal at any one of our amazing unique to Minneapolis/St. Paul restaurants.
Summer walks or bike rides around Lake Calhoun or Harriet, the Walker Arts Center, a Twin's game at Target Field, a trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Catch a performance at the Guthrie, Orpheum, Statue Theatre, or the Children's Theatre Co. These are just a few of the attractions.
