There is a new park development as part of Grant Park. I'm not sure how extensive it's going to be, but I believe there'll be some section dedicated to skateboarders' needs. I don't think it'll be a skate park or anything, but just friendly to skaters, cyclists and runners. It's still under construction though. It should be quite pretty when completed.
