Buddy Guy's Legends
I've been to Buddy Guy's Legends a few times, and it was always a blast. I know he just moved to a new location, which I have not yet had the pleasure of visiting, but I plan to in the next few weeks. I strongly recommend many of you check it out as well.
One thing I'm wondering is what other Blues clubs you've been to? Are there any that rival Legends?
Also, if you want to see Buddy, you can check the website, it shows all the upcoming performers. Buddy usually does a run of shows in January, so to see a real Blues legend, definitely check it out. Eric Clapton calls him the best Blues guitarist in the world.

I'm not a Blues fan at all. Jazz is my music of choice. But I do know of and have been to a few others. There's Blue Chicago on Clark Street (536 N. Clark St), House of Blues in the Marina Towers complex (329 N. Dearborn St), the Green Mill in Uptown, and Kingston Mines in Lincoln Park. I wouldn't say they rival Buddy Guy's - because they don't have a big star like Buddy - but word on the street is they're pretty good. And maybe not as crowded or pricey as BG's or HOB. I think there are a few rejuvenated "joints" in Bronzeville but that neighborhood is still pretty dicey, especially after dark. I'm sure there are some cool joints in Hyde Park too. Safer, because it's Obama's neighborhood.
Good Luck!
Here's a couple more Blues joints you might want to visit!
