Dualing Piano Bar

So far there have been a lot of history and culture-y things- what to at night??

One really fun place is Howl At The Moon. It is not to bar-scene-esque but it is not a total tourist trap.

Something that makes this unique is that there is a full band backing up the pianos which really adds to the energy. In addition- by city standards, the drinks are not too expensive. Which in a city when $9 dollars for a beer is not unheard of really helps my pocket book.

My one significant complaint is that it gets a little bachelorette crazy at times- it seems like so many parties go there.

I've been there a couple of times. It IS a hoot (howl?) and can be quite loud and crazy. Seems to draw a lot of large groups. For something a little more laid back, I'd head east a few blocks to Andy's Jazz Club. And for more on downtown jazz clubs, check out my post: Downtown Jazz http://www.streetadvisor.com/illinois/forums/downtown-chicago-jazz. And one more I just remembered: The Redhead Piano Bar/Club on Ontario St!
