Wrigleyville is a nice area, and I'd say it's fairly safe. It's certainly a lot of fun if you're a Cubs fan, so if you're going to live in the area or visit often it's a good bet you'll be a fan of the Cubs before long. The park is a dump, but it has a lot of charm with the Ivy.
