What are the best hospitals in Chicago?

I'm going to give my favorite, though like the other post mentions, there are a number of good hospitals in Chicago. Loyola is my favorite. There's a lot of research and education at Loyola, including a friend of the family who does research there, and she loves it there. Highly recommended.
Chicago actually has a lot of good hospitals, most affiliated with universities. Northwestern Memorial is the best. The University of Chicago Hospital,Rush University Hospital, Loyola University Hospital and UIC Hospital all have excellent reputations too. There's also Advocate, St. Joseph's and Swedish Covenant. I've been to doctors at Advocate, and they were just OK. St. Joseph's has an iffy reputation, but my experience there has been fine. I guess you usually don't get much of a choice as to the hospital you have to go to, since medical insurance usually dictates that. But if I could choose, it would definitely be one of the university ones. I've been told that they offer discounts too, based on income and insurance status.
