Whats your favorite neighborhood in Chicago?

Sheridan Road is the best place to live in all of the lakefront neighborhoods. A mixture of condos and rentals, it has the best views, breezes and public transportation. Some of the most envied views look at the Loop and the Lake. Most of the north lakefront borders Lincoln Park and residents pay extra to look out over the luscious greenery and harbors even when it is for only part of the year. These are mixture neighborhoods, singles and seniors, straight and gay, and all races. They have one thing in common -- nice neighbors.

Market is a little slow right now so some people have dropped their prices but they are holding pretty steady.

One of the interesting things about the neighborhood is the wide variety of options in housing. Studios can range from $85,000 to $150,000 depending on the building and its amenities, the number of square feet in the unit and which way the unit faces. Then there is what floor the unit is on, services in the building, whether there is deeded parking and the age of the building. Three bedroom units have sold up to $550,000.
