I recommend the Lakota East Holiday Art & Craft Show in West Chester/Liberty Township. It's a little trip from the city, but is one of the largest shows in the area held at a school. The Lakota show is held on a Saturday and Sunday every November. If you want higher end art goods, check out Winterfair around Thanksgiving.

One of my favorite holiday events is Sarah Center's Holiday Boutique. It's an inner city ministry for women who learn jewelry making to help them create a supplemental income. They usually hold their holiday boutique during the final weekend in November.

The women sell handcrafted jewelry, handmade quilts, and sewn items they create. They also invite a few other crafters and organizations to join them. They earn money from the sales and a portion of the income helps keep the center going.

Okay... so I taught the ministry for 10 years. I taught classes in wire work, metal work, entrepreneurship, marketing and how to sell at arts and craft events, and they've passed them on to new students. The women are pretty good, and they've also learned a lot of additional techniques, including etching and enameling.
