Not sure about one favorite but there are a number of popular chicken joints in town. On the west side you will find Ron's Roost. In Hyde Park, the Hitching Post is a popular place to get fried chicken. Richie's Fast Food Restaurant also is a popular local place for fried chicken; they have several locations around town.

Well, I'm no fan of fried chicken, but I know that a lot of people like the Hitching Post in Hyde Park. It is a neighborhood institution. They claim to sell the "world's best fried chicken." Whether this is true or not, I have no idea; however, you might just want to stop in and check out this local, family-owned business.
