If I want to open a small retail fashion shop, which neighborhood would be best?

Those are definitely all good location suggestions. Another thing I would throw in would be to base your location on the type of fashions you will be selling. If you're going for the high end market, I recommend Hyde Park, and possibly even O'Bryonville. Of course, in those areas rental rates will be higher and there is probably less retail inventory available. If you are going to be offering young, hip fashion, then maybe Over-the-Rhine or Northside, possibly even Clifton. Clifton is definitely a good location for eclectic offerings, but there are already a number of stores offering that type of thing. Oakley is a good location and central to many parts of Cincinnati. If you are looking for a little more suburban location, Montgomery has a nice walkable business district with many local shops. Glendale or Wyoming might also be good locations.

Over the Rhine, East Walnut Hills, O'Bryonville, Oakley, Clifton and Northside would be the tops on the list.

I would highly recommend Oakley. Youll find many new hip, small retails businesses that are thriving and traffic is excellent.

I would recommend either Blue Ash (many wedding boutiques are located here) or O'Bryonsville, next to Hyde Park.
